Tim received his bachelors degree with honors in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA in 2008. He then worked in a technical leadership program with Eaton Corporation for three years. Over this time, he worked in product development for the aerospace, automotive, and commercial trucking industries. After returning to academia and moving to Switzerland, he received his master’s degree in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zurich in 2013. As of September 2014, he has joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication, where his research will be focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence in mobile robots.
