Norman Hack received his diploma in architecture with honours from Technical University of Vienna, Austria. A scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Organization (DAAD) allowed him to pursue a postgraduate degree at the AA in London, UK from which he graduated with distinction. Norman gained professional experience in renowned offices across Europe, such as Coop Himmelb(l)au, UNStudio and Herzog & de Meuron where he worked as a specialist in computational design and fabrication. Norman Hack has been awarded in several national and international architectural competitions, including the 2011 Europan 11 competition Norway. In addition, he is co-founder of d’HKL, an architectural firm based in Zürich. In 2012, Norman Hack started his PhD at the Future Cities Laboratory of the Singapore-ETH Centre at the research group of the Prof. Fabio Gramazio and Prof. Matthias Kohler. In September 2014, he joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication.
