Eleni Chatzi received her PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics of the Columbia University in New York, USA. She currently holds the Chair of Structural Mechanics at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering of ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Her research interests include the fields of structural health monitoring and life-cycle assessment for civil structures. Eleni Chatzi also serves as the editor in numerous peer-reviewed international journals in her domains of research. Since 2016 she is coordinating the joint ETH Zurich & University of Zurich PhD School in Computational Science. She is also leading the Starting Grant WINDMIL on the topic of “Smart Monitoring, Inspection and Life-Cycle Assessment of Wind Turbines” supported by the European Research Council. In June 2018, Eleni Chatzi joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication as an associated investigator.
