Arno Schlüter holds a degree in architecture from the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and a post-graduate degree in computer aided architectural design and a PhD in building systems from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. In 2010, he was appointed Assistant Professor and in 2014 Professor of Architecture and Building Systems at the Institute of Technology in Architecture (ITA) at ETH Zurich. Since 2013 he is also a principal investigator at the Singapore-ETH Future Cities Lab in Singapore. In his research, he and his interdisciplinary team focus on energy and environmental technology and systems, and their synergetic integration into buildings and cities using computational approaches for modelling, analysis, and control. He currently is the Head of the Institute of Technology in Architecture of ETH Zurich and a member of the management board of the ETH Energy Science Centre. In 2009, he co-founded the ETH Spinoff KEOTO.ch which applies innovative approaches in building and urban design projects. In June 2018, Arno Schlüter joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication as an associated investigator.
