Anna Szabo graduated with a M.Sc. in Architecture and Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2012. During university years she worked for PLANT – Atelier Peter Kis, regularly published critical articles on contemporary architecture at the magazine Hungarian Architecture and she gained experience both in design and construction at IVANKA Concrete Factory and Design with a focus on material research, product and installation design for international exhibitions. After moving to Zürich she kept on experimenting with concrete, and her intention of deeper understanding material behaviours and implementing the knowledge in digital fabrication technologies led her to attend elective courses and workshops by Gramazio Kohler Research at ETH. In September 2015 Anna Szabo joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication as a PhD researcher.
