Alessandro Dell’Endice completed his Master in Building Engineering and Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy. In his master thesis, which he realised in collaboration with Juanjo Castellon from ETH Zurich, he investigated an experimental composite aluminum-concrete material. From 2013 to 2015, he worked in Italy as structural engineer and architect. In 2016, he completed the Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Digital Fabrication at ETH Zurich. As part of his MAS thesis he was the structural design leader and part of an eight-person team which built a unique, two-storey, robotically prefabricated timber structure. In 2016, he additionally participated in the construction of CNC-milled formworks for the project “Incidental Space”, exhibited at the Swiss Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia under the supervision of Christian Kerez, ETH Zurich. Besides these engagements, he worked part-time as Development Engineer at Qualysense AG. Alessandro Dell’Endice joined then joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication in February 2017 as research assistant.
